We all know that nothing can last forever; in the same way the bathroom utility units show wear and tear as years pass by. Once the warranty period is over, we either need a plumber to fix the problems or fix them by ourselves.
The bathroom shower is prone to leakage which can cause gallons of water going waste. The cause of leakage is usually a broken or worn part. The part of the shower which gets worn-out the fastest is the washer. It needs to be changed for which you will require certain tools; pipe wrench, flat head screw driver, channel locks, rubber washers and Philips screw driver.

All valves should be shut off and the water drained before removing the screws from the faucets knob. Then the water guard is to be removed, followed by the nut holding the stem. The washer is situated at the end of this stem. Replace it and re-install. Your bathroom shower leak is repaired.
